Here’s the blank canvas. There was 6 inches of concrete in that floor, and all I can ask is why?
Side note: I had to physically destroy a hard drive today. It took me 45 minutes just to break through all the outer coverings to get to the discs. That thing was a beast.

Old housing. So many surprises. Also, I can’t just hit my (whatever: hard drive, disc, thumb drive) with a hammer and call it good??

We were pretty sure the floor and wall tile was set in concrete. It was just a surprise that there was 6 inches of it on the floor. It’s a wonder that didn’t come through into the dining room below.
Re the the harddrive, just encrypt it with a good encryption algorithm. That’s much easier than physically destroying it. That’s what I am going to do from here on out.
